We offer two types of courses based on length, either by day or by week.
Minimum age for enrollment is
10 years and/or must have completed
4th grade level education.
Week-long courses start at
8:30 a.m. and end at
4:30 p.m. Day-long courses start at
9 a.m. and end at
5 p.m.
Minimum enrollment* is 5 students, maximum is 10.
A intial fee of 20% of the overall course fee will be required to reserve a spot in the course. The full payment is not due until the course begins.
If you or your child are not satisfied with the content of a week long course within the first 24 hours, or you or your child are not satisfied with the content of a day long course within the first 3 hours, we will refund the full amount.
*If the minimum is not met, we reserve the right to cancel the scheduled course. If a course is cancelled we will provide a full refund.
Week-long courses (4-5 days):
Digital Movie Making - June 21-25
This course covers every aspect of filmmaking, from brainstorming a story to digital editing and even publishing the finished product. At the end of the course students will take home a dvd of the short film they have created throughout the week.
Making a Horror Film - July 12-16
This course covers every aspect of filmmaking, but applied to the genere of horror films. At the end of the course students will take home a dvd of the short film they have created throughout the week.
Web Site Design - July 19-23
We'll lead you through a brief history of the internet and web design, then we'll get to work learning HTML, simple layout techniques, basic image handling and more. At the end of the course students will take home a cd of the web site they have created throughout the week.
Day-long courses:
Intro to Filmmaking - June 19
This class is full
This special introduction class will teach even the most novice beginner the basic techniques of this craft including scripting, story boarding, camera, sound, graphics and editing. Students will not be working on their own movie in this course.
Intro to Web Design - June 26
This course is a shorter version of the week long web site design course. The same topics will be covered, but in less detail, and students will not be working on their own web site.
Horror Films - July 10
This course is a shorter version of the week long horror film making course. The same topics will be covered, but in less detail, and students will not be working on their own movie.
Screenwriting & Storyboarding - July 17
The basis to any good film is planning. We'll take you through the steps of creating a story, generating scenes and plot sequences, storyboarding and editing for time and content.
Wildlife Films - July 24
This course is much like the horror films course, but the subject will be tailored to wildlife filmmaking.
Intro to Photoshop - July 31
Everyone is using Photoshop these days, but how many people know how to unlock its real potential? We'll help you learn the tricks of the trade and create some cool stuff along the way.
